SERVICE BREAKDOWN

  • Improved game performance comes from confidence and confidence comes from a better understanding of how to play with and without the puck.

  • We begin by reviewing any available previous game video to better understand the player's strengths, challenges and tendencies.

  • We identify the player's strengths and pinpoint various areas for improvement.

  • The player completes thinking/written exercises that allow him to understand and define himself as a hockey player and young person.

  • We then begin the teaching/learning process by providing feedback and direction.

  • We also utilize a vast library of NCAA, NHL and Olympic and World Junior game clips via Zoom of comparable players and tactical situations as learning opportunities.

  • We also identify NHL/NCAA players who share similar strengths and challenges.

  • We watch clips of these players and discuss the various scenarios encountered.

  • We continue this back-and-forth review of the player’s game clips and the NHL/NCAA clips throughout the season.  We will simply have what we refer to as 'hockey discussions'.

  • We will also forward various video clips from NHL.com, NHL Network and NCAA games etc. during the year that the player might find interesting and applicable to his game and life as a young student-athlete.
